What Are Microgreens?

Microgreens are a tender young form of edible vegetables and herbs, considered to be the most nutritious stage of the plants’ life cycle. Seeds are allowed to grow beyond what is considered to be the sprout stage of growth to the True Leaf stage, which is when the plant begins to develop its first true leaves. These baby plants come in a variety of bright colors, bursting with incredible flavors and packed with up to 40 times more nutrients per weight than the mature fully grown plant. They are grown all year round so you can enjoy your favorite veggies and herbs grown locally and sustainably with the maximum nutrition available -since you harvest your living microgreens, fresh and delicious When You Are Ready to eat them. We all know what happens to vegetables and herbs once they are harvested or turned to juice: they begin to lose their nutritional value and all the goodness that nature has placed within them with the passage of time.

How to Care for Your Microgreens?

You can store your Living Malibu Microgreens at room temperature however, microgreens will keep their freshness longer when kept inside your fridge or in a very cool spot. Keep them away from direct sunlight or heat.

The coconut fiber growth medium at the base must be kept moist for the roots to thrive and the microgreens to maintain their freshness and nutrients.

Never Spray or Water Your Microgreens From the Top. Always Soak the Coconut Fiber Bottom in a Small Amount of Water, Drain and Refrigerate.
